Facilitation

I work with organizations, corporations, and systems to integrate wellbeing into the culture so that leaders and teams can work effectively and sustainably, retain and attract highly dedicated contributors, and create working relationships amongst staff and clients that are compassionate, inclusive, and just.

Inspired by your vision as a socially conscious employer and workplace, I customize workshops, retreats, and retainers in which participants develop and integrate new tools and approaches that allow them to engage with difficult conversations, catalyze greater impact, and enhance spaces of inclusion, belonging, and safety.

I approach sensitive topics with warmth and compassion. By creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, I engage participants to have meaningful exchanges and experiences that move beyond the intellectual exercise and into the applied experience of creating change. As participants expand their awareness, knowledge, and skills, they leave better equipped to bring their best, whole selves into their interactions at work and beyond from a clear, calm, connected state.

I have extensive expertise providing facilitation and training on topics of diversity, wellbeing, and cultural competency for groups including students, professionals, staff and faculty, and healthcare professionals.

Increase Impact: Integrate Wellbeing and Social Justice

Many approaches focus on telling people “what” to do to support social justice. However, effective and sustainable efforts need to also address the “how.” Workshops, retreats, and retainers focused on Integrating Wellbeing and Social Justice offer an applied framework participants of all backgrounds and roles can integrate again and again to break down the complexity of social justice efforts into identifying their next, best step. Through the understanding and practice of these strategies, participants are empowered to care for their most effective tool - themselves - so they can continue to show up consistently for the people and causes that desperately need them at their best.

Support for Changemakers

Social justice efforts often drain the joy, hope, and motivation from those who feel the pain of injustice deeply, live in service of others, and work diligently for a better world. While this work can be meaningful and fulfilling (as well as urgent!), it is also frequently depleting for those that shoulder the largest load, who are often from historically marginalized groups themselves. Workshops, retreats, and retainers focused on Support for Changemakers integrate the development of actionable awareness, knowledge, and skills so participants can continue to bring their brilliant, resilient, and effective selves to their efforts without sacrificing their wellbeing in the process.

Burnout and Compassion Fatigue: Protection and Recovery

It is too easy to push past the warning signs of burnout and compassion fatigue in an effort to support others whose needs seem more urgent than your own. The cost of doing so, however, is steep for individuals, organizations, and the causes they support. In workshops, retreats, and retainers focused on Burnout and Compassion Fatigue, participants dive under the surface of the cues and clues of burnout to better understand their unique signals and paths to prevention and recovery so they can continue to protect their energy, engagement, and ability to live meaningfully while continuing to show up for the people and causes they love.

Sensations and Emotions - Guidance for Greater Impact

Most people have a reluctant, if not outright suspicious, relationship with their emotions and sensations. Viewed as more likely to thwart or sabotage than assist, people go to great lengths (at great costs) to avoid or minimize these invaluable messengers. In workshops, retreats, or retainers focused on Sensations and Emotions, participants are gently guided in forming a new paradigm of relationship with their inner cues. By learning ways to be present with the full range of subtle to intense sensations, they increase their ability to navigate the complexity and intensity of social justice efforts with less damage and greater impact.

Communication Essentials for Social Justice

“What do I say? How do I say it? I had good intentions…where did it go wrong? How do I make it better?” Many people are well-meaning in their desire to support social justice, but struggle with how to engage in effective conversations on related subjects. In workshops, retainers, or retreats focused on Communication Essentials for Social Justice, participants learn and practice specific tools to speak up in difficult and high stakes conversations, identify their boundaries, and make repairs after causing (even unintentionally) an interpersonal injury. These foundational skills are essential for the conversations that are needed both within organizations, communities, and families navigating these contentious and divisive topics.

Speak Up and Influence

A 2-Day or 8-Week Experience

In Step into Your Moxie® Speak Up and Influence, participants will strengthen their inner and outer voice so that they can speak up for themselves and the ideas and issues that matter most to your company. Through a mix of coaching, training, role play, and small and full group conversation, participants will develop the mindset, skill set, and habits to boost their communication confidence so they can speak with power and impact and move people to take action whenever they speak.

By the end of this experience, participants will be able to:

  • Reframe diminishing self-talk so that it supports rather than undermines communication confidence

  • Harness a “Yes And” attitude and play nicely with feelings that come up when presenting ideas and navigating uncomfortable situations

  • Minimize vocalized thinking and amplify speaking presence to increase credibility, likeability, and trust

  • Call people to take action on ideas in low and high stakes speaking situations (i.e., team meetings, project pitches, or presentations)

  • Address common pain points and personal motivators that get in the way of people taking action

  • Tell stories that create connection, discovery, and buy-in for those listening

  • Articulate their value and go after visibility opportunities that position them/your company as thought leaders

  • Identify and begin to address potential team/company barriers to communication success

  • Set and rearticulate boundaries to strengthen individual and team wellbeing

  • Possess the words to take responsibility for mistakes and repair harm when it’s caused

  • Live and lead into a legacy that aligns with their values

Rebecca created a safe space to nurture what can be a very uncomfortable discussion. She provided an excellent overview of the material and created a framework for smaller breakout groups. Dr. Eldredge is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful and passionate about her work and this is a topic that should be explored in any group settings such as with businesses, in schools and generally for those who are interested in understanding this very sensitive and important topic. Dr. Eldredge is able to sculpt a program or programs that will fit your group’s needs and goals. We appreciate all that you are doing to help support a change in the paradigm.
