About Rebecca: Rebecca Eldredge, PhD - Houston, TX

Dr. Rebecca Eldredge has been providing therapy for more than 8 years in a variety of settings including her independent practice, university counseling centers, community mental health agencies, and partial hospitalization programs.  She enjoys offering individual, couples, and group therapy services to adults (age 18 and up).  She also has extensive experience and passion for providing professional trainings and workshops on a wide variety of topics including (but not limited to) diversity issues and cultural sensitivity.


Rebecca completed both her M.A. and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (APA accredited).  Rebecca completed a full-time, APA-accredited, predoctoral internship at University of Oregon’s counseling center in Eugene, Oregon.  Subsequently, Rebecca moved to Houston, TX where she completed a Multicultural Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Houston’s Counseling and Psychological Services before beginning her independent practice. 

Prior to her graduate training, Rebecca had completed her B.A. in psychology at Alma College and had worked predominantly with adolescents and juvenile delinquents through community counseling centers, school systems, and social service agencies.

In addition, she has taught adjunct for the University of Houston's and Our Lady of the Lake's graduate psychology programs.  In addition, she volunteers with the Red Cross and provides professional workshops and diversity trainings. 

She is a member of American Psychological Association and adheres to the ethical principles and guidelines as outlined by APA in all of her professional roles.  She is also a member and Secretary/Treasurer of Houston Psychological Association, and an affiliate professional of Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. 

Personally, Rebecca enjoys a variety of passions in addition to her work.  A few of these include music, nature, and travel.
